New World Pinot Noir

Pinot Noir is the most highly prized wine in the world and for good reason. It’s the perfect wine for a dinner party (remember those) because it pairs so well with loads of cuisines. It’s light enough for salmon but complex enough to hold up to rich dishes, no problem. Basically, it’s a crowd pleaser and we’re obsessed! We’ve combined three of our favourite New World producers in one box for you to enjoy.

Kutch Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir, 2018

Why we love it – This delicious Pinot shows a great expression of the Sonoma Coast vineyards.

Grape Pinot Noir

ColourRed

RegionSonoma, USA

Body Light

Three big flavours – Dark cherry, tobacco, spice

Pair up with – Kutch is a master of terroir and minimal intervention, meaning the purity of the fruit and the vineyards shine through. Drink with roast duck, crispy fried tofu with satay sauce or that American favourite – the humble but magnificent burger. Yass!

Bodega Chacra ’32’ Pinot Noir Treinta y Dos, 2017

Why we love it – Respecting the environment by following biodynamic and organic principles, Bodega Chacra strives to make wines that are transparent, pure, delicate, and floral with a strong minerality.

Grape – Pinot Noir

Colour – Red

Region – Rio Negro, Argentina

Body – Light

Three big flavours – Fresh cranberry, mushroom, raspberry

Pair up with – This light and refreshing style of Pinot is great with steak or tuna tartare, octopus ceviche or crudités and baba ghanoush. It’s a lovely, easy-going, sunny day wine. But obviously, feel free to drink this all winter as well… all year round really!

By Farr ‘Sangreal’ Geelong Pinot Noir, 2017

Why we love it – Sangreal vineyard is the oldest planting of the winery, planted in 1994. It’s the flagship wine by Farr and it just tastes really good. What can we say?

Grape – Pinot Noir

Colour – Red

Region – Geelong, Australia

Body – Light

Three big flavours – Cherry, raspberry, vanilla spice

Pair up with – With slightly more texture to it than a lot of Pinots, this iconic wine pairs brilliantly with fillet steak, lamb, roasted game, perhaps a mushroom stroganoff, mac & cheese, or the ever-popular pizza (choose your own toppings).
